What happens when you transition medically and/or socially then realize it was the wrong decision? This is a question doctors, psychologists, the media, and education professionals are too afraid to ask. If you support free speech, inquiry, or the autistic and LGB communities, this event is for you.
Democrats for an Informed Approach to Gender (DIAG) are co-hosting a talk at MIT by trans desister and Berklee student Simon B. Amaya Price who will share his experience with identifying as a girl in high school.
He credits his father for stopping him from permanently harming his body through medicalization. This is a rare opportunity to hear about Simon's emotional journey from teenager to adulthood.Â
Simon will discuss his story of desisting (re-identifying as his natal sex), Berklee's cancellation of his event, the importance of free speech, and the bigger picture issues related to desisting and detransitioning.
Following Simon's presentation is a Q&A session with Simon and a panel of experts.
Will you also forward this to other concerned Natick parents and NPS staff to sign up to receive our weekly emails?
